News Flash! Gobble 'n Go!
Having observed the daily "dinner dash" that is a part of the crowded Chautauqua Institute season schedule, the Great Tree Inn has introduced a "Gobble and Go" dining service as an alternative to the "hurry-up and wait ritual". For the period June 21 through September 4, the Inn is offering a competitively priced pre-select "Dine and Dash" a la carte menu in addition to their regular evening dining selections.
Guests rave about the breakfasts which include "Eggs Benedict Florentine, Mini Soufflés, Asparagus, Zucchini and Yellow Pepper Frittatas and their perennial favorite - their 'Farmers Country Style' - "Eggs of the day" with sausage-links or patties, served with home-fries, toast, jellies, jams and fresh fruit of the day.
Recently opened and already a favorite with guests, the Indaba restaurant (pronounced "in-daa-ba") specializes in hearty signature dishes (with a twist), and Samantha's exotic dishes that were acclaimed by their yacht charter guests.
Included in the menus are some of Sam and Louis' personal favorite dishes stemming back to the time they spent in their sojourns in Africa, Europe, the Middle East and the lower Caribbean. Imagine ambling downstairs with a glass of wine in hand and allowing the comfortable, laid back ambiance of the Inn do the rest.
